Schedules patient visits and updates daily. Establishes and initiates patient charts. Enters patient plan of treatment via computer. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of provider/patient information and visit schedule. Verifies the authorization and visit orders for patient care. Multi-tasks a multiple scheduling with clinical provider. Coordinates with clinical staff to organize specialized team conference meetings. Coordinates referrals. Performs general office duties. Answers telephone. Records and distributes minutes. Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications: High school graduation. Supplemental education in medical office procedures and medical terminology preferred. Ability to operate a wide range of office equipment including word processor, computer, fax calculator and copier. Attention to detail and ability to multi- task. Timely completion of work. Two years of medical/home health agency experience with knowledge of Medicare/Medical guidelines. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven computer skills with accuracy and speed essential. Special requirements: Current California driver's license and car insurance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to an interdisciplinary approach to care. Reliable vehicle.
