Position Overview:
The monitor will supervise and engage in activities with students grades 1 to 5 at our Oak Street Campus during recess and after school.
Schedule:
The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week.
Lunch: 11:00 - 1:00
Recesses: 1:30p - 2:30p
After-school: 3:00 - 6:00
The monitor will also be working full time during our week long school breaks:
October 10th - October 13th
February 20th - February 23rd
April 5th - April 12 th
Key responsibilities:
Active supervision of children indoor and outdoor
Plan activities (sports, arts and crafts…) with co-workers
Communication with parents and staff
Resolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learning
Qualifications:
Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive
Team-worker with strong communication skills
Experience working and developing age appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not required
Fluency in French is a plus but not required
Eligible to work in the US
We offer $22/hr and a dynamic work environment.
Live scan background and TB clearance required.
