This is a benefited, full time position working 12-hr day shifts generally from 8am-8:30pm. Located in Rancho Bernardo.

*What you'll do: *

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.
• Educate patients and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
• Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
• Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. **

This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7K.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

• Internal candidates

• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

• Must remain in original department/specialty

• Must remain in original Job Title

• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Completion of accredited RN program.

• Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care.* *

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current CA license.

• Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and PALS certificate. * *

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Minimum 1 year recent RN experience in ED or Urgent Care RN within the past 3 years.

• BSN preferred.
