Streamline Innovations RNG Plant Operator in San Antonio, Texas

Job Purpose:

Streamline Innovations, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant Operator with a background in Research & Development (R&D) to join our dynamic team. This position will be at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, operating our RNG units while also playing a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively and be on the road for about a month at a time.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the RNG facility’s equipment and systems

  • Ensure that the plant operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental regulations

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of all equipment and systems

  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to problem-solving efforts

  • Assist in the development and testing of new technologies related to RNG production

  • Provide feedback and insights on the performance and reliability of new systems

  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to optimize existing processes and implement innovative solutions

  • Document findings, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and further development

  • Be prepared to travel extensively and work on-site at various locations for approximately a month at a time

  • Participate in the setup and commissioning of new facilities or systems

  • Provide training and support to local operators and staff during deployment

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards at various locations

  • Maintain open communication with management, engineering, and R&D teams

  • Participate in meetings, presentations, and conferences to share findings and insights

  • Provide status reports and updates on plant operations and R&D activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas plant operations, preferably in the renewable sector

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in research and development activities

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptability to changing environments and schedules

  • Willingness to travel extensively and for extended periods

  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.

  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
