Our Director of National Projects is responsible for the execution of all national programs, initiatives, and facility programs that impact the physical plant assets across the country. Creates functional strategies and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support facility services to include the branding of acquisitions, and implementation of current and future enhancements to the brand. Directs a team of project managers dedicated to end-to-end program ownership. Develops and leads national programs and protocols for branding acquired properties, implementing new innovation and technologies while ensuring that systems and programs meet prescribed requirements for operational efficiencies, cost control, sustainability, and shareholder value.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional team(s) entrusted to develop and deliver outcomes that meet success criteria.

  • Develop and implement strategies and tools for increasing efficiencies, expanding innovation, training and communications as required to support change management.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and effective vendor management strategies by leveraging technology and innovation to ensure delivery of business requirements.

Job Specifications

  • Lead in partnership with operations, product development, consumer insights, and asset management teams, to ascertain necessary insights to drive changes or enhancements to facilities, systems, and programs designed to maximize operational efficiencies, consumer impact, and shareholder value.

  • Develop multi-year strategies and program pipeline designed to increase ROI and shareholder value.

  • Develop and lead strategies for acquisition and onboarding of new properties and ensure scalability of program support to achieve flexible growth strategies.

  • Develop strategies to enhance 3rd party owner consumer awareness and brand recognition and influence enhancement of brand presence for managed properties.

  • Provide regular coaching leadership and support to grow and develop talent and create an environment of continuous learning and development within the facility department.

  • Conduct bi-weekly follow-up, coaching and training of direct reports with emphasis on continuous growth and delivering business requirements for time, cost, and quality.

  • Conduct semi-annual performance evaluations and manage bonus, recognition, and company award programs for direct reports.

  • Travel throughout the country as needed to assist in the development of implementation strategies and program solutions and to conduct follow-up, coaching and training of project managers.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, engineering, architecture, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience leading similar teams of program managers and facility professionals a must.

  • Working knowledge of construction trades, applied engineering, and facility or construction project management. Ability to read construction documents and evaluate quality of work in compliance with building codes and standards.

  • Highly proficient in all current business software applications. Experience with computerized maintenance platforms, App development and latest technologies a plus.

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational and time management skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy while setting own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, judgment, and discretion including the ability to use tact, diplomacy, and professionalism to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities, and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems on a consistent and continuing basis.

  • Ability to multitask and effectively execute several simultaneous projects and initiatives at various stages of development and execution.
