We at M Health Fairview are looking for a Security Dispatcher to join our security team at our Midway location in St. Paul, MN. This position is for a 0.2 FTE (16 hours per pay period) on the night shift. (10p-630a). This position works every other weekend so it leaves your weekdays free!

This position starts at $24.29/hr and goes up with proven experience plus we offer shift differentials of: $3/hr for nights and $2/hr for weekends.

Responsibilities Job Description

Job Summary:

Hospital Dispatcher is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Security Dispatch Operations Center. Job duties include monitoring of a large bank of CCTV surveillance cameras, prioritizing incoming phone calls, dispatching Security Officers, operate Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, monitoring multiple fire computers and taking appropriate actions. Dispatcher must be customer service focused and able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

Job Expectations:

  • Monitors CCTV cameras, monitor alarms and dispatches security officers appropriately

  • Maintains shift log of all activities during shift (CAD)

  • Provides excellent customer service to callers and on-site visitors

  • Prioritize calls in order of importance and dispatch services appropriately

  • Ensure appropriate end of life procedures are followed including coordinating removal of remains from patient care unit, coordinating with funeral homes, working with Pathology dept or ME if required. Coordination with donor services if requested.

  • Maintain all paperwork.

  • Provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers

  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Qualifications

Preferred

Education

  • Associate/technical degree in telecommunications or law enforcement

Experience

  • 1- 3 years dispatch or hospital security experience.
