Job Summary ：

The General Manager for Thermo King Netherlands is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of our dealership. This key management position is responsible for the performance and growth of the dealership.

We are looking for a strong leader with excellent management abilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of driving business results. The General Manager will collaborate closely with the local leadership team and provide strategic guidance to achieve the dealership’s objectives including financial targets, employee engagement and operational excellence.

This is a key commercial leadership role positioned directly at the customer interface and carries with it the responsibility to consistently meet/exceed significant financial targets in a way that fosters a strong sense of purpose, alignment, and accountability across a field-based team.

The role is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and physical presence is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to all departments and teams within the dealership, ensuring an inclusive and equitable work environment for all employees.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the dealership’s market position and achieve sustainable growth.

• Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.

• Lead and motivate dealership workforce by promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Foster Employee engagement and promote organization’s purpose and culture amongst local teams.

• Lead leadership team members in setting goals, targets, and action plans to drive business performance.

• Ensure effective communication and coordination between departments and teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment that values diverse perspectives.

• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit optimization.

• Drive sales and revenue growth by developing and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all areas of operation.

• Identify and address operational inefficiencies/problems, implementing appropriate solutions and process improvements.

Key Competencies:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior leadership position.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field- advanced degree preferred.

• Solid experience in transportation industry.

• Knowledge of the refrigerator industry and market trends are preferred.

• Excellent communication in English and Dutch.

• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusivity in the worklace.

• Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.

• Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.

• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
