This is an exceptional opportunity to build and influence the data landscape of our organization! We are building a new data warehouse which you will design, so you will make sure our organization gets the information it needs to make better decisions. Because we are growing there is a lot of room for new initiatives and ideas. This is a hybrid role, combining both virtually and from the Rotterdam office.
What you will do
You lead the design and implementation of a new cloud data warehouse, integrating global and regional environments. The main focus of this role is on designing robust data architectures and implementing effective governance strategies. We have a stack supplied and maintained by our Global organization so tooling decisions will be picked from those solutions.

Conceptualize, design and develop a comprehensive cloud data warehouse architecture. Including master data management that meets the organization's global and regional data needs.
Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team in implementing architectural designs.
Help build the team and department.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data integration, migration, and optimization.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in data architecture strategies as well as best practices.
This is who you are
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in AWS and Databricks platforms and experience with data modeling techniques. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.Furthermore:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Experience working in a global environment with diverse people and data requirements.
Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, Databricks and familiarity with cloud-native databases, data warehouses, and big data technologies.
Proven experience with ETL and ELT processes with Databricks, and DBT or comparable.
Experience with crafting a data integration architecture that seamlessly combines information from diverse sources and formats.
