Job Responsibilities:

The Assistant/Associate Dean provides critical day-to-day support overseeing admissions and student services for both the campus and online pathways of the PharmD program. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management for the office’s strategic initiatives and operations. The individual will serve as a member of the school’s Executive Committee and will report directly to the Dean.

  • Direct and oversee the admissions process for the School of Pharmacy for both campus and online pathways

  • Create and oversee P1 orientation for both campus and online pathway

  • Oversee all pharmacy student organizations and advise the pharmacy Student Government Association

  • Oversee community service related activities and Co-Curricular initiative for the school for all students

  • Serve as the administrative oversight and advise the Student Honor Committee

  • Serve on the Student Success Committee

  • Assist students and process documentation associated with the application for licensure including registration for national and state licensure examinations

  • Oversee the student scholarship and awards activities

  • Provide support to students on matters related to mental/physical health, time management, leave of absence/reengagement that impact their success in the program

  • Support PHEA and pre-pharmacy students entry into the PharmD program

  • Support student’s completion of BS Pharmaceutical Studies once enrolled in PharmD program

  • Serve as an active member of the Executive Committee

  • Engage in teaching and scholarship in areas of expertise and interest.

Education / Experience:

Qualified applicants will hold a minimum of a master’s degree. An earned doctoral degree in a field of pharmacy is preferred. Applicants should also have a minimum of 7 years of experience in higher education with significant experience in student services or admissions. Academic rank is available to pharmacy faculty. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Supervision of Employees:

The Assistant/Associate Dean for Student Affairs will oversee one administrative support staff.

Work Hours:

Full-time; 12 month
