Job Description

This candidate will join a team to cover their own territory in Baldwin County/Mobile, AL. They will be responsible for maintaining fiber network. They will also go out to customer sites and do router installs and perform general router checks. They also provide maintenance on cell sites every 30-60 days as needed. This role does require some physical labor, so need to be okay with handling cabinet batteries or other large equipment. They will drive their own personal vehicle and record a mileage log to be reimbursed for miles driven. Once brought on perm they will get a company vehicle and cell phone.

* Demonstrate basic knowledge of generator and transfer switch operation

* Support 24/7 on-call schedule

* Resolve all wireless alarms that are assigned by Arkis Service Ticketing system and by management

* Demonstrate microwave experience (Licensed & Unlicensed)

* Test batteries

* Install and configure routers and make fiber connections at customer prem. to C Spire standards

* Make all fiber connections and install new gear at data centers, central offices, GFRCs, and cell site nodes for new services to C Spire standards.

* Maintain all core network gear located in data centers, central offices, and GFRCs

* Maintain Nokia 4 & 5G wireless equipment

* Use digital muti-meter

Skills and Requirements

* AC/DC Power Experience

* Comfortable with customer facing interactions

* Hands on experience with routers, switches, computers

* Fiber Networking experience (no splicing in this role)

* Drive their own vehicle for contract length * Wireless experience (maintaining networks)

* Proficient with Windows

* Technical Degree or background in Networking or Electronics

* Utilize light meters null
