The Retail SE team is looking for a Service Engineer who is talented and highly passionate for technology, Live Site focus and Site Reliability. This position requires strong collaboration and teamwork across team and organizational boundaries, playing a vital role in engineering services that delight the customer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a team environment, experience running and designing enterprise scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms, agile development practices, and experience in designing & tuning monitoring/telemetry.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Background building and managing end-to-end services surfacing telemetry and stitching together long running business processes.

  • Ability to read/write/configure code using modern design techniques to automate various platform capabilities.

  • Experience with enabling and managing cloud services, usage, and optimizations.

  • Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to automate simulation of service outages for platforms.

  • Experience working with software engineering team members and ownership of translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations for e2e business services

  • Ability to work with service teams and own Live Site Reviews and corrective action plans.

  • Experience owning the Service in backlog discussions & standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements.

  • Identifies and evaluates existing automation tools, features or applications, with the most value to the service team, to increase the productivity of the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Automation scripting such as Powershell/Bash, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.

  • 3+ years of experience working with Windows Server/Azure/AWS.

  • 3+ years of experience using telemetry or related system data to understand throughput, limitations and constraints in a service .

  • 3+ years of experience working with infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, SQL Azure, Network technologies, NLB, DNS, Active Directory, IIS, Azure Operations Management Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.

  • Demonstrated experience in web services, virtualization and cloud concepts 

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Candidates should have experience with several of the following: 

  • REST, JSON 

  • XML, XSLT

  • MySQL/SQL Server/SQL Azure/NOSQL

  • AppInsights/Kustos

  • C#/Java 

  • Experience in defining cost per transaction or per user, based on service configuration.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related sciences – or equivalent work experience

  • Outstanding customer focus with the ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams to ensure continued customer happiness.

  • Demonstrated expertise in web services, virtualization and cloud concepts.

  • Experience identifying services appropriate for hosting on PaaS and IaaS offerings, as well as migration to internal or external SaaS providers.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion to solve difficult problems as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of Dynamics CRM and AX is a plus.
