We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Finance Manager to help shape the future of our cloud products.

The MSIO Modern Workplace margin workload planning Finance team is responsible for margin strategy and investment optimization for cloud properties.

Microsoft 365 (M365) is a very exciting space where we are seeing growth across AI and classic office properties driving expansion of portfolio creating need for new roles. This role will focus on new workloads which are growing at a very fast pace like Viva, Microsoft stream etc. It is an amazing opportunity to own workloads independently and drive engagement across pricing, business health and cogs efficiencies across engineering, business planning and revenue. In addition to this, this workload lead will own and drive M365 usage intensity to help inform our key engineering and finance leaders on progress through metrics like cost per monthly average user, and cost per gigabyte as well as lead inputs needed for M365 deals specifically.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive close, forecast and planning for workloads like Microsoft Viva, Microsoft stream and other products

  • Engage with business planning and revenue teams on margin modelling to enable pricing decision.

  • Lead and drive M365 usage intensity models and leverage that to influence leaders on key operational metrics like utilization, Cost per metrics across M365 workloads. lead Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) level gross margin and Education Profit & Loss

  • Work with revenue partners on M365 deals to provide cogs per workloads to support deal analytics

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated analytical, written, and problem-solving skills; ability to identify business issues and to summarize key business drivers.

  • Understand and help balance business partner priorities.

  • Collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.

  • Understanding of cloud services, infrastructure, and/or business applications a plus

  • Knowledge of internal Microsoft Finance tools (e.g., Microsoft Sales & Mercury) preferred

  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including: accounting, forecasting, planning, reporting, analysis, and developing financial models.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
