Facebook Electrical Engineer in Redmond, Washington
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who can drive the development of next generation display prototypes. This individual will work in a cross-functional team consisting of other electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, optical engineers, and research scientists. The successful candidate will have experience working with displays, analog and digital design skills, and experience leading teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members
Partition EE work-loads among team members
Drive EE stand-up meetings
Drive all electrical engineering activities to completion, including: design, design reviews, manufacturing, assembly, test, characterization, and final system integration
Create architectural diagrams and documents
Hold design reviews and provide input to team members regarding EE best-practices
Create full system prototypes for next generation display technologies
Define scalable processes to take research-level prototypes and ramp them for production
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of industry experience designing consumer products
Experience scaling designs from low-volume to high-volume
Experience designing embedded systems for production
Experience with communication interfaces, such as MIPI, USB, I2C, and SPI
Experience in schematic and board layout using Altium, Cadence, or equivalent
Experience with PCB layout principles, including high speed signal integrity (multi-Gigabit), power layout, de-sense, DFM, etc.
Experience with display systems
Experience creating system and device specifications
Masters or PhD Degree
Experience with circuit simulations & modeling (e.g. SPICE, MATLAB)
Experience designing custom ASICs
Familiarity with silicon bring-up and characterization processes
