Turn 10 Studios, owner and developer of the Forza Motorsport franchise and part of Xbox Game Studios, is looking to hire a Director of Business. This role, part of Turn 10’s senior leadership team, drives the strategy and operations of Turn 10’s business teams including licensing, business management, business development partnerships, and finance.  This role also supports the management of our international operations including Playground Games. This position reports to the Head of Turn 10.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Business and Strategy will offer an extensive set of business development, finance, business management, licensing, and a impressive history of analytics driven insights to the leadership team.

• You will partner with Turn 10’s Senior Leadership team and other stakeholders to uncover, develop, plan, and optimize operational expenses and revenue strategies for driving Turn 10’s businesses forward.  

• You will collaborate extensively across game development teams as well as other stakeholders and organizations to build consensus for, and implement, programs and initiatives aligned with business objectives.  

• You will lead the Business Strategy and Insights team, Licensing and Partnerships team, and Financial Operations team.

• You will guide the studios business strategy and insights, leverage analyses to synthesize information, and own the framing for broad projects. You’ll also synthesize broad findings into insights across the studio, and use those insights to develop recommendations and ideas around growth opportunities.

• You will ensure insights and strategy are communicated to senior business leaders. You’ll also build end-to-end storylines and influence senior decision making.

• As a studio leader, you will manage multiple strategy projects and teams across organizational boundaries. You’ll also proactively identify and address complex roadblocks.

• You will drive a positive team culture across the Business team by owning recruiting and onboarding efforts, providing coaching, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• As a manager, you will help employees develop skills through mentorship and other means, while establishing performance expectations and ensuring fair and equal treatment. You’ll also identify needs and set priorities to drive project execution, and partner with other teams on related deliverables.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

• OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

• OR equivalent experience.

• 1+ year(s) experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.

• 1+ year(s) people management experience.

• Experience managing AAA Franchise IP or similar experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience.

• OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 8+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

• OR equivalent experience.

• 4+ years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.

• 3+ years people management experience.

Business Strategy M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
