Microsoft Corporation Chief of Staff - Global Gaming Partnerships & Business Development in Redmond, Washington

The Chief of Staff role, reporting to the Global Gaming Publishing and Development (GGPD) Business Development GM and partnering closely with her leadership team, will ensure the execution of key team priorities and focus on strategic internal and external developments. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence.

Responsibilities

Product and Customer Strategy: Act as thought partner and advisor to the Global Gaming Partnerships & Development Leadership team in organizing team efforts around partner strategy and assist with driving planning activities (including ROB) and deliverables. Own and lead the preparation and follow-up for specified partner meetings and briefings, partnering closely with Gaming Staff Office, Business Development and Marketing teams. Attend meetings on behalf of the General Manager and act as her representative when required.

Employee Culture and People Strategy: Work closely with the General Manager and Human Resources team to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to improve organizational health issues as indicated by the MS Poll results, from personal observation (requires a good pulse on the org), or other employee communication pipelines. Create All-Hands agendas and presentations and orchestrate All-Hands meetings. Work closely with the Global Gaming Partnerships & Development Leadership Team on overall organizational morale strategy and implementation of org-wide morale events. Partner with Recruiting to ensure our organization attracts the best and brightest candidates and any openings are filled quickly and meet organizational hiring objectives.

Communications: Plan and drive the Global Gaming Partnerships Development communication function with regards to employee and partner or key stakeholder engagement. Create communications and content including presentations, demos, press engagements, videos, newsletters, blogs, social media and emails. Manage organizational SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites.

Organizational Business Management: Oversee the organization’s financial and headcount management strategy and work in close partnership with the Gaming Chief of Staff and BD Chief of Staff to ensure processes and procedures are in line with the strategy.

Rhythm of the Business: Architect and drive Global Gaming Partnerships & Developments overall external and internal business rhythm including partner facing external events and conferences, partner/business reviews, all-hands meetings, off-sites and annual strategic/operational planning.

Special Programs/Projects: Support and participate in strategic initiatives or cross-group projects contributing to the overall organizational strategy including, but not limited to, organization awards and D&I initiatives. Create and implement accurate plans and develop success metrics and communication approach for these initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

The position requires an individual who understands how to get things done at Microsoft through influence by leveraging your extensive interpersonal and collaboration skills.

You must have experience in strategic planning, execution, building relationships and working with leadership teams and executives at all levels.

You should be extremely organized with great attention to detail and have strong business acumen, analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter who is flexible, adaptable to change, and has experience successfully performing under tight deadlines.

Ability to exercise exceptional discretion with confidential information.

5+ years of relevant experience in the areas listed above.
