Overview

Ready to lead the way as our Director General Manager at Burlington Stores' multi-site Distribution Center in Redlands, California? Join us and drive our operational success! Reporting to the VP of Distribution, you'll lead operations while fostering team growth. Your goal? Seamlessly manage every aspect of our Distribution Center to meet service levels, maintain quality standards, and achieve cost objectives. As the mastermind of efficiency, you'll develop strategies, coordinate activities, and execute plans in line with Federal, State, Company, and Budgetary guidelines. With over 1,000 stores nationwide relying on your expertise, you'll be pivotal in maximizing service and cost efficiency. A Day in the Life:

  • Oversees DC performance to ensure safety, productivity, and organizational objectives are met; applies metrics to drive efficiencies.

  • Assists in formulating long and short-range planning, policies, and objectives.

  • Contributes to developing the annual operating budget and manages P&L.

  • Controls costs through process improvements, personnel productivity, and space utilization.

  • Ensures inventory accuracy and levels through adherence to control processes.

  • Cultivates a positive culture by developing leaders and promoting transparent communication.

  • Promotes safety and continuous improvement.

  • Evaluates site performance for optimization and collaborates on industry standards.

  • Ensures compliance with warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.

  • Supports training initiatives for optimal staffing and efficiency.

  • Drives year-over-year improvements.

You’ll Come With:

  • 8+ years of related experience in distribution operations, including supervising large, diverse teams of several hundred associates with excellent leadership skills that drive engagement.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement distribution strategies that maintain competitiveness and drive growth.

  • Experience in developing annual operating budgets, proven P&L management, and controlling costs through process improvement initiatives, personnel productivity, space utilization, and materials protection.

  • Strong background in supply chain systems, distribution technology, and equipment.

  • Exposure to Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies, including identifying continuous improvement concepts and root cause analysis.

  • Commitment to promoting safety.

  • Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
