Job Summary The objective of this position is to lead, grow and support Carolina Handlings Associates, Customers and Business Execution. The Regional Service Manager will 1) foster teamwork across service teams and all departments; 2) promote a professional image of the dealership with our customers; 3) grow business through accurate planning and execution of business plans and market strategies.

Responsibilities

· Manage and make decisions for regional territory of Service Managers, Associates and Customers.

· Supervise daily operations of the service department through maintenance of an orderly flow of information through the department.

· Creates and supports an environment that fosters and supports continuous improvement and demonstrates a sense of urgency that results in a commitment to quality and timely results.

· Mentors and coaches Managers and Associates. Encourages training and development opportunities.

· Responsible for regularly evaluating the job performance of service managers by assessing their achievement of established performance management metrics and goals.

· Collaborates with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in processes throughout the territory and organization.

· Control and evaluate service department income and operating costs through business planning and development of budgets and profit and loss statement evaluation.

· Mentors and coaches Associates and Managers, sharing job specific knowledge. Encourages training and development opportunities.

· Maintains open communications among management, Associates, other departments, and Raymond.

· Evaluates month-end service reports for accuracy, trends and measurements and creates action where needed.

· All other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

· Five years of successful service management experience.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively with other management, Associates and customers.

· Ability to effectively monitor and develop Associates.

· Proficient with a personal computer using both Windows and ERP operating systems.

· Must exhibit an orientation to detail and ability to manage changing priorities.

· Such other knowledge, skills and abilities as are necessary in connection with additionally assigned duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working in an office as well as a warehouse environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures for short periods of time. Use of computer and terminal to gather data and generate reports and memos. Must be able to deal with strict deadlines, upset customers and technicians. From time to time, must work on equipment in the field. At which time, could be exposed to varying environments at the customer’s site, including potential exposure to dangerous chemicals and solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Overnight travel at short notice may be required.
