Manpower Group Production Engineer in Pueblo, Colorado

The primary duty of the Production Engineer is to develop, evaluate and improve the manufactured products and methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities and quality control standards. The Production Engineer shall have experience in several areas: tool design, fixture design, material handling, inspection and test equipment, gauging, lean manufacturing, safety and ergonomics, surface treatment and coating applications.

Responsibilities

  • Development of production processes for fabrication of wind towers, including the Installation of Internals and Painting applications, including surface preparation.

  • Maintaining production data and specifications on new and existing products.

  • Creating and maintaining process documentation to ensure that quality products are produced.

  • Resolution of product quality issues.

  • Reviewing production capacity requirements for current and future demands and preparing proposals to accommodate changes.

  • Development of investments analyzes for new production equipment and project management for new equipment implementations.

  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Engineering Technology.

  • Experience in using basic test tooling required in Corrosion Protection

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in Corrosion Protection Systems, preferably in the steel industry

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software, CAD software and MRP systems

  • Experience in Change Management (Lean, Six Sigma)

  • NACE-CIP Level - II Certified

  • Strong understanding of all components of Wind Tower Manufacturing.

  • Must be able to Communicate New Processes and Procedures in front of large groups.
