Candidate will be required to split/manage their time by working on several projects simultaneously. For instance, one project might call for a new automation script to be built for a continuous deployment system such as Jenkins A second project might include working on a content management system for a corporate briefing center to help orchestrate and organize content for clients. Additional tasks will be required as well, like helping the company to tweak internal tools and admin interfaces, as well as helping to build out other external facing products. Candidate must provide a link to portfolio of relative work as well as a link to one active website.
Participate on project teams as needed to develop and deploy software solutions to meet business
Create and deploy cloud hosted web applications and content management systems as well as internal tools and frameworks
Collaborate internally to build and maintain internal frameworks and tools to assist peers
Participate in AGILE project methodology and conform to coding standards including git workflow and code reviews.
Maintains a passion for developing scalable software and ensuring industry standard software development practices
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination, with a High School Diploma or GED
Two years of relevant work experience
Experience in creating and deploying cloud based web applications.
Experience in teams including project managers, designers, and business development.
Experience in collaborating with other in a software development team and conforming to standard practices and code guidelines.
Preferred experience with working on small teams.
Event and experience marketing background preferred, but not required
Experience with Node.js using web server based frameworks such as Express or Sails
Experience debugging Node.js, profiling memory and cpu usage
Experience deploying Node.js into production and scaling applications beyond single instances
Experience writing and running automated tests including, but not limited to, integration and unit
Experience with Amazon Web Services
PLUS - experience with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration tools
