Wagner Spray Tech Corporation Supply Chain Analyst (Buyer) in Plymouth, Minnesota

Supply Chain Analyst Reports to: Supply Chain Director FLSA: Exempt Position Objective: Responsible for purchasing of key direct materials and providing back up support to the purchasing team. Responsible for driving process improvements within the planning and procurement processes. Partner with commodity managers and quality to improve the supplier bases through supplier development. Act as group lead for purchasing functions addressing day to day issues and driving process improvements. Drive end to end operations' digitalization projects. Responsibilities: * Drive process improvements within the planning and procurement processes. * Support team's analytical and continuous improvement abilities as support the lean enterprise transformation. * Partner with commodity managers and quality to improve the supplier base through supplier development. * Manage large projects related to changes in the supply chain including driving end to end operations' digitalization projects. * Analyze, initiate and drive cross-functional and multi-site process improvements. * Manage inventory tracking, working capital improvements and Plan for Every Part (PFEP) include part setup. * Responsible for purchasing of component parts from key suppliers. * Provide back up support for buyers and planners. * Other duties as assigned. Relationship To Others: Establish effective working relationships with other departments to ensure the smooth transition of information. Work with Buyers, Planners, and Commodity Managers as part of the core supply chain team. Dimensions of Position: Responsible for providing support for the buyers as well as driving improvements in those areas. Qualifications: Education and Experience High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Planning and/or Strategic Supply-chain related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and Human Resources. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard or home office environment which requires occasionally lifting articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and phone usage. This position may require time spent on the production floor and must adhere to all safety requirements. This position is hybrid, averaging 3-4 days per week in the office.
