Clinical Research Coordinator

Our team studies acute cardiac effects of cardiac problems in pregnancy and disease who preferentially impact women. Our biggest study with be a CMR multisite study looking at baseline cardiac remodeling and serum biomarkers from women with peripartum cardiomyopathy already enrolled in the REBIRTH trial. We will also have a local IRB for CMR, genetics, and serum biomarkers here at Magee. PI is also the site investigator for the international SCAD trial and primarily see SCAD patients in our Magee clinic. Once enrolled to the SCAD trials, participants will need baseline and follow-up CRFs filled out.

Main Duties:

-Medical record extraction for SCAD trial -Excellent communication skills for recruitment to the REBIRTH substudy -Wok will be hybrid, data extraction, and site coordination for study transmission can be done remotely, anticipate 1x/week for in-clinic patient recruitment at Magee

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

Detail-oriented and excellent communication skills for recruitment; medical record extraction.

Physical Effort

Must be able to move freely around Magee, university offices, and research areas.
