Peckham Inc. - Vocational Services Program Aide
POSITION SUMMARY
The Vocational Services Program Aide position provides vocational support for all team members and Human Services staff that support Business Services line of business . Pr imary responsibilities will be scanning documents, assisting team members in training, following up on team member goals, providing triage support, implementing behavioral techniques , monitoring, and documenting client progress, providing daily feedback and case notes for team members, collaborating with team members/V ocational Services Specialists / supervisors, assessing for accommodations, and providing first line support.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Monitor client progress by speaking with team member , V ocational Services Specialists , and supervisors
Provide intensive one-on-one job training assistance to clients to help them learn new jobs and enhance their skills on existing jobs
Communicate effectively with V ocational Services Specialists , supervisors, trainers, and other stakeholders
Provide direct feedback and training to team members regarding work readiness, work beh aviors, and work skills
Assist with crisis intervention with team members
Assist team members with CIP goal completion and Action Plans after progressive discipline
Scanning Phoenix documents and completing file reviews
Completing employment verifications for team member requests
Assisting team members with background evaluation/investigation support
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide intensive one-on-one job training assistance to team members to help them learn new jobs and enhance their skills on existing jobs
Write case no tes regarding team member’s progress
Maintain a positive relationship with all work-related professionals ( V ocational Services Specialists , supervisors, referral sources, and operations management )
Obtain baseline information regarding work speeds, behaviors, and physical abilities/tolerances
Ass ist with new hire orientation
Provide training support for new hires and existing team members
Occasionally monitor vacant caseload in V ocational Services Specialists absence
Maintain safe and clean work environment
Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma
1-2 years of work experience in Human Services
This position requires passing and maintaining security background checks .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook .
Proficiency in, or ability to learn, SharePoint software .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Workday , Microsoft Teams, or other electronic file systems
Degree or education in vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, or a related field
Behavior Management Training, Therapeutic Physical Intervention Training, and First Aid/CPR training preferred.
Certified Employment Support Professional, Mental Health First Aid certifications preferred, or able to obtain upon employment
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
Experience in mentoring, coaching, and giving feedback
Ability to manage time effectively
Ability to solve problems and work successfully on a team
