CDM Smith Automation Engineer 1 in Phoenix, Arizona
Successful candidate will perform a variety of routine technical tasks including control system design, PLC programming and HMI development for various projects.
Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Assisting in the development of design documents, including Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop wiring diagrams, SCADA system architecture diagrams, specifications, and instrument lists.
Using AutoCAD and Microstation to complete drawings.
Programming and configuration of PC computer HMI systems and PLC systems.
Automation Engineer 1
CDM Smith Employment Type:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or Microstation is a plus.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) expected.
Registration as an Engineer-in-Training, or ability to obtain an EIT within 18 months of hire is preferred.
Candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills.
