University of Pennsylvania Pulmonary and Critical Care Academic Clinician - Assistant Professor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff and medical students.

Clinical responsibilities may include working with advanced practice providers and /or trainees, proficiency in consultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically ill patients in the ICU, rounding on inpatient services for advanced lung disease and participating in a busy outpatient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center.

Preferred candidates will have an interest and experience in education and systems improvement initiatives.
