Elite Contracting Group Mobile Batch Plant Operator in Petersburg, Virginia
Company Overview
Heartland Concrete is seeking an entry-level Batch Plant Operator to join our team. Heartland is a specialty concrete producer that operates a fleet of fifteen High Performance Volumetric Mobile Mixers servicing contractors and sub-contractors on roadways, bridges, and airports throughout the mid-atlantic region.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service
Set up, mix, pour, and finish commercial concrete jobs
Ensure concrete meets specified quality requirements
Perform pre-trip vehicle safety inspection and report vehicle condition at beginning and end of each shift
Operate truck according to state and federal transportation laws
Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws
Keep mobile mixer clean and functioning
Assist in calibration of mobile mixer
Complete minor truck repairs; keep vehicle clean and functioning
Maintain required records
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL License with minimum two years driving experience
Background in the military service, construction, and/or concrete a plus
Must be able to drive a standard transmission
Must be willing to travel in support of out of town projects
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds of material
Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, reach and climb
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Must maintain a satisfactory background record
Must be able to pass a drug test as required by transportation regulations
