IBM Japan Field Activation Lead (Japanese Speaking) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • The Japan Field Activation Lead works with both Global & Japan team leaders on campaign strategy/goals for Japan, incorporating market dynamics - including market trends, regulation, targets, audience, messaging, channel mix, and campaign strategy - and desired outcomes when building the overarching worldwide strategy at both the geo and campaign level with clarity and transparency for cross-functional planning.In this role, you will maintain the activation calendar for Japan and support day-to-day operations to orchestrate alignment across teams, stakeholders, and deadlines for requested assets and deliverables. You will serve as the voice of Japan to shape how campaign marketing efforts land in Japan in partnership with the global team.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead interlocks with campaign squads to ensure geo-specific learnings and feedback are appropriately built into the go-to-market strategy, including planning activities and removing blockers

  • Ensure main Japanese market trends and specific regulations are considered by Global M&C teams in the planning and asset creation process

  • Facilitate the co-creation of campaigns activities with GEO specifics to generate high market impact improving yield and results to achieve targets.

  • Serve as the liaison between worldwide campaigns, other geo field activation leads and geo teams to orchestrate alignment across teams and foster open communications / ideation in driving improved performance. Ensure priorities, assets, information, etc. flow seamlessly.

  • Identify geo-specific challenges, adapt solutions as best practices, and share solutions with the broader org

  • Keep pulse on geo-specific performance indicators and business results contribution in correlation to the intended marketing business plan. Share Quarterly best practices on CI creation, progression, and yield from an GEO point of view. Ensure Final Geo Gameplan is socialized, actioned, and updated as appropriate.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

B2B marketing experience, or deep understanding of B2B marketing and customer journey Self-starter attitude, ability to preemptively identify and handle risks, raising issues when needed to remove blockers Ability to solve problems analytically and creatively; perseverance to fast-fail and see it through success Ability to communicate, present, negotiate, and influence . Ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder, and multicultural environments, including effective collaboration with peers at the country, regional, and global levels. Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT, Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2) Understanding of Japan Market.

This is a Hybrid role, attendance to the office is requested at least 4 times a week until the team is comfortable with the work environment. Then it can come down to 3 times per week depending on the role.
