About this role

Insight Global's partner, within their Digital sector, is seeking a Director, AI & Machine Learning to work

closely with technology leaders and business stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge Data Science solutions.

The successful candidate will identify and prioritize essential capabilities for our client's entire enterprise

that harness data assets for predictive and prescriptive analytics. Director, AI & Machine Learning will

develop a global strategy to incorporate business plans for both short-term critical initiatives and long term innovation, defining and tracking to milestones to evaluate progress and performance along the

way.

This position will play a crucial role in establishing benchmarks and standards, fostering team cohesion,

driving innovation and research, shaping project and product management approaches, and refining

DataOps and MLOps capabilities. Furthermore, the Director, AI & Machine Learning will bear the

responsibility of not only operationalizing existing technology to fulfill current stakeholder requirements but

also envisioning the future landscape of the discipline through innovative concepts.

The Director, AI & Machine Learning will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop high-priority

Machine Learning-enabled product features that will help improve the planet.

Skills and Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 15 years of working experience in a data science capacity, with a preference for

candidates who have served as a Head of Data Science.

• Advanced degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer science, Statistics, Economics,

or a related field Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success in leading a data science team to implement new data science models,

tools, and techniques, resulting in improved business performance and informed decision making.

• Experience with Dataiku or other ML/Ops platforms

• Extensive experience solving analytical problems through quantitative approaches and machine

learning methods, as well as using advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and

information retrieval.

• Proficiency in analyzing and manipulating large, complex, high-dimensional data from various

sources.

• Startup mentality and leadership with a focus on progress, and an expectation to learn from

failure.

• Experience with hierarchical organization and lean team compositions for project and product

work.

• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and AI/ML workflow for guiding

initiatives from ideation to production, with quality assurance monitoring.

• Knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, cybersecurity, CI/CD, and data governance to ensure

compliance.

• Affinity for buy versus build decisions with appropriate evaluation processes null
