Guthrie HVAC Technician - Plant Services - Full Time in PA, United States

Position Summary: Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.

Education, License & Cert: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 2 years prior experience working in the HVAC trade.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings including wiring, architecture, and sequences.

  • Install, service, maintain, regulate, and repair mechanical equipment including but not limited to, hydronic heat pumps and associated mechanical piping and controls. Cooling Towers. Packaged and split system RTU’s and air handling equipment.

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance procedures to clean air conditioning as well as heating equipment. Including coils, condensate pans, drain lines, and cooling towers.

  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager, Supervisor, and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.

  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.

  • Maintains Vehicle, tools, and equipment in a safe working condition.

  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on building automation system and associated components. Coordinate work with controls vendor as needed.

Other Duties:

Travel to regional offices is required.

  • After hours and weekend emergency call required.
