University of Iowa Community Credit Union Facilities Specialist II in North Liberty, Iowa

Position Summary

This position is responsible for initiating, planning, and driving all routine and non-routine maintenance needs for designated credit union facilities.

Pay range for this position is $20.97-$28.07 with a progressive benefit package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change:

  • Adheres to and promotes the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in carrying out GreenState’ s mission and vision

  • Ensures confidentiality of member information

  • Follows attendance standards to perform successful execution of assigned job functions

  • Promotes team cohesiveness and provides constructive input supporting company and departmental goals

  • Champions teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities

  • Respond to facility work requests creating a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment for all• HVAC; filters, belts, system programming, and associated equipment• Electrical; light bulbs and fixtures, breakers, ballast/drivers, low voltage, and batteries• Plumbing; fixtures, piping, water heaters/softeners, irrigation systems, pumps, valves, and meters• Facility building upkeep; painting, drywall including ceiling, floor, and roof repairs• Office configurations and set up; desk moves and modifications, PC, and phone/network connections

  • As a Specialist II, you would bring experience with demonstrated mechanical skills, buildings and systems inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks supporting multiple trades• Confident with abilities to troubleshoot, diagnose, and seek solutions for building maintenance needs• Capable of providing assistance with indirect building systems including security cameras, door access & locks, and fire systems• Capable of using advanced building automation controls to troubleshoot lighting & HVAC systems

  • Passionate around supporting our vendors• Capable of providing detailed knowledge involving building design and systems including mechanical, electrical, & plumbing drawing interpretations• Understands contracts and job scopes as it relates to our preferred routine vendors

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements/Expectations

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and be able to travel frequently to all locations as necessary.

  • Must be competent in the Microsoft Office suite of products and possess the ability to learn additional software as needed.

  • Exhibit a high degree of mechanical aptitude and understanding of outlined skills defined under role responsibilities.

  • Must be in general good health and physical condition, able to climb a 12-foot ladder and can lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Self-motivated and capable to working independent and thrives on responsibility and resourcefulness while problem solving in an evolving environment.

  • Capable of seeking out opportunities and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with the highest quality results in mind.

  • Verbally communicates effectively and can speak clear and persuasively while maintaining poise in a professional manner including during stressful situations.

  • Dependable with strong values; capable of following instructions, takes responsibility and timelines seriously while treating people with respect.

  • Safety – observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Must be bondable.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to Regional Facilities Coordinator.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.
