LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV with travel to California

POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Production Control Specialist (Maintenance Analyst)

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Superintendent or Production Superintendent

WORK EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of MQ-1 experience required. Six (6) years Plans, Scheduling & Documentation (PS&D) experience. Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2R151 or 2R050 preferred. Working knowledge of the Logistics Installations and Mission Support Enterprise View (LIMS-EV). Programming knowledge in Interactive Query Utility (IQU), Query Language Program (QLP), Microsoft Access, Excel, and Visual Basic desired.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Must have verifiable training records with MQ-1 training.

High School Diploma, required.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

REQUIREMENTS: US citizen or authorized immigration status. Current secret security clearance. Travel is required.

Skills and Characteristics:

Outstanding attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team organizer and facilitator. Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Office/industrial environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary: Maintain oversite of assigned aircraft, equipment, and resources utilizing applicable Maintenance Information Systems (MIS). Manage, track, and schedule, and monitor aircraft status, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) upgrades, modifications, Time Change Items (TCI), and Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the local operations squadron and wing PS&D to develop all flying and maintenance plans.

  • Assist in building the annual plan and publish the weekly, monthly, and quarterly flying and maintenance plans.

  • Publish, deliver, implement, and maintain a PMI Schedule Forecast Report.

  • Schedule, track, and monitor TCTO requirements and ensure TCTOs are completed prior to the TCTO ground date.

  • Monitor and forecast TCI requirements. Assist in ordering and scheduling time change items for assigned aircraft and engines through PS&D.

  • Monitor and ensure aircraft serially controlled items and TCIs are loaded in the MIS to ensure proper tracking and accountability of items.

  • Initiate and submit TCTO and TCI extension requests as required.

  • Coordinate and schedule aircraft acceptance and transfer requirements with appropriate agencies.

  • Ensure all documentation and MIS data for aircraft in an assignment change status is properly documented, tracked and coordinated In Accordance With (IAW) AFI 21-101.

  • Schedule and host aircraft Phase pre-dock meetings to review planned inspections and maintenance actions during the Phase inspection.

  • Schedule and host aircraft Phase post-dock meetings to review remaining open discrepancies, serial number verifications, and other pertinent data pertaining to the Phase inspection.

  • Report possession changes of all aircraft to the appropriate agency and wing PS&D.

  • Complete aircraft debrief to include reported discrepancies, flight hours, deviations, and sortie effectiveness.

  • Enter all debrief data and account for flying hours in the applicable MIS.

  • Controlling, update, and, as necessary, create Aircraft Jacket Files and historical records as specified in AFI 21-101.

  • Schedule, monitor, and complete aircraft forms and document reviews as specified in AFI 21-101.

  • Schedule and complete annual aircraft jacket file reviews.

  • Compile and record data from work orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures.

  • Update equipment inventory data as new equipment is added or when equipment is turned in.

  • Calculate factors such as types and quantities of equipment, supplies and materials used, determining usage, and production rates.

  • Tracks, analyze, and present information to help managers assess the health of the units' weapon systems and equipment.

  • Performs analyses to assess and improve unit performance such as effectiveness and efficiency of unit resources and logistical support processes.

  • Analyze deficiencies in areas such as equipment performance, materiel consumption, scheduling, management, and resources; their impact on the maintenance mission; and results of their corrective actions.

  • Calculate maintenance metrics and compare company performance against contractual requirements.

  • Develop products to track, monitor and identify seasonal and cyclical trends.

  • Provide presentations, reports, studies/analyses and briefings as requested.

  • Initiate special studies, investigations, and perform statistical analysis and report findings to managers with recommendations.

  • Inform managers of significant maintenance factors affecting the mission.

  • Monitor and control MIS data integrity program to ensure 100 percent accurate historical maintenance data.

  • Perform other duties as assigned as assigned by supervisor.
