Arc3 Gases Service Technician in North Charleston, South Carolina

JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Service Technician is to install and service on-site Cryogenic systems in a safe and effective manner. The technician will also be involved in maintenance and repair at the Gas Plant facilities. The work schedule for this position takes place Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and maintain cryogenic and gas equipment.
Install cryogenic bulk installations at customer sites and Arc3 locations.
Respond to emergencies 24 hours a day.
Install decals and warning signs for the proper identification of hazards, warnings, ownership, normal operational settings, emergency contacts, etc.
Perform installation of piping systems in agreement with company SOP’s.
Perform Site Surveys to assure compliance with all federal, state and local codes.
Perform annual inspections of all bulk installation sites to assure their good condition and correct operation.
Adhere to and ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed.
Maintain an appropriate stock of recommended parts necessary to repair typical installations within the assigned customer base.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
5 years of Cryogenics experience preferred.
Understand the characteristics and hazards of cryogenic and high-pressure gases and have specific knowledge and understanding of the products.
Previous HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding experience preferred.
Computer experience preferred.
NCDL required.
CDL A or B preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must work with hazardous materials.
Work from heights including ladders, man lifts, scissor lifts required.
Bend at the waist and knees frequently.
Loud noise levels.
Exposed to all weather conditions.
Occasional overnight trips.
Work scheduled overtime during week and weekend when required.
