Title: Software Development Engineer I

Location: 1 Washington Park, Newark, NJ 07102

Duties: Assist senior engineers in the design and development of large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. Contribute to software documentation. Build software components architected by senior engineers. Triage, debug, and fix bugs in day-to-day operations. Report on the status of projects and systems using available metrics. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Newark, NJ, USA

Basic Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Digital Design, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience as a Software Development Engineer or any occupation/position/title involving experience in software design and development.

Experience may be gained concurrently and must have one (1) year in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C++, C#, Java, or Object-Oriented Design

  • Dealing directly with customers or stakeholders

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data structures and algorithms

  • Owning full stack software from hardware to UI

  • Writing secure, stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects.
