Mizuho Corporate Bank Client Management – Know Your Client – Data Analytics in New York, United States

Job Summary:

KYC Periodic Review Data Analytics contributes to the organizational efforts to reduce exposure to risk by working with data, identifying anomalies, building reporting, validating consistency, contributing to the accuracy and relevance of client data on Mizuho’s platform. This is an essential role in ensuring Mizuho’s compliance with industry rules and regulations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Creating effective dashboards for Management of status reporting

  • Daily and intra-day reporting of processing status

  • Create and distribute front office COO reports of Periodic Review files

  • Identifying data anomalies and working with various teams to correct.

  • Correcting data anomalies

  • Working with Technology teams to build accurate and effective reporting including Business Requirements Documents

  • Assessing risk and compliance issues associated with customer’s documentation, activity, or products.

  • Data validation on various Mizuho systems to maintain consistent, accurate and timely customer information.

  • Manage and monitor daily workflow for ultimate results in the completion of client periodic review files for reporting.

  • Work with management and team members to create work performance measurements.

  • Provide ideas for creating work distribution process.

  • Assist Management to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulators.

  • Work with Team Leads and Management in pulling necessary queries, documentation, and reporting for Audits (internal and external audits)

  • Work collaboratively with various departments, i.e. Compliance, Legal, Front Office, Tax, Quality Control, Regulatory, Operations, etc.

  • Coordinate with team members in the collection, validation, and presentation of daily, weekly, monthly statistical reporting.

  • Analyze large sets of data to create effective statistical reporting.

  • Provide automation solutions for reporting, dashboards and reconciliations.

  • Projects and Ad Hoc Request

    Work with management:

  • in bringing innovative thoughts, ideas and suggestions in process enhancements and improvements.

  • in the coordination of Audit requests and resolutions.

  • creating valuable reporting to provide upper management with a clear picture of successes and challenges presented in the Periodic Review space.

  • in creating ad- hoc presentation materials

    Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5 – 7 years of work experience in the Finance Industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Data Analytics or work experience in this area.

  • Ability to perform data analysis and be instrumental in getting the data corrected.

  • Well-developed Microsoft suite skills

  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop an action plan.

  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Maturity and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

  • Keen attention to detail, well organized and strong analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Think outside the box’ for creative solution ideas.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

    The expected base salary ranges from $100,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
