Sr. Data EngineerAetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in New York, NY: Sr. Data Engineer to Design, build, and/or optimize large-scale data structures, data pipelines, and database systems. Duties include: design and develop web applications to understand and analyze the Hive query logic and derive the relationship between the source tables and derived tables in a Hive pipeline; design, build and maintain large scale data ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) pipelines for real-time and offline analytic processing; integrate data from various data sources, assuring adherence to data quality and accessibility standards; collaborate with data scientists to integrate algorithms and machine learning models into automated processes; design and build REST APIs using Python Flask to retrieve the data from HDFS using PySpark and generate interactive visualizations using Matplotlib; create general purpose APIs to perform CRUD operations on the relational databases; develop Hive pipelines to process and transfer the data from HDFS, leverage the trained machine learning/deep learning models to obtain the model prediction results, write the results back to HDFS/RDBMS/SFTP; develop tools to monitor and test the prediction results accuracy; and implement necessary error handling features to ensure a smooth process that puts models to production and optimize the data pipelines. Multiple positions.Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
