WSP’s US Advisory practice is dedicated to transforming the business of infrastructure across the transportation, buildings, energy, environment and power sectors. WSP is currently initiating a search for a Principal Consultant with our Asset Management team for our New York, Philly, or D.C. office.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex, multidisciplinary consulting projects across sectors

  • Support existing asset management assignments in the transportation sector

  • Support the Business Line Director in establishing WSP as a premier brand across the USA

  • Support the professional growth of our junior consultants within the AMBA practice area

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, with graduate degree preferred

  • 12 to 15+ years’ experience in directly relevant endeavors

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Active engagement in relevant industry organizations

  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional IQ

  • Proven experience in consulting or a comparable role in developing organizational capability and performance improvement from within an organization

  • Proven experience in senior management

  • Hands-on leader, collaborator and strong team player

  • Self-starter, who can get things done efficiently

  • Preferably a good understanding of asset management and the challenges organizations face with introducing business change to improve management practices

  • Preferably a functional understanding of Maximo, Infor, and experience in managing full systems implementation projects, and advising Clients

  • Track record in leading the successful delivery of asset management projects

  • Broad knowledge of business models and processes of transportation sector organizations

  • Familiarity with national and international practices and standards

  • A strong desire to coach and support more junior consultants

  • Exceptional ease in concurrently relating to and managing corporate executives, line consultants, and client executives

  • Ability to bridge technical, management, financial and policy perspectives

  • Authorization to immediately work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in relevant field


The Asset Management team works nationally and the candidate should be available to travel. The preferred home location for this posting is in the New York, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. area.

Our US Advisory Services team is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Principal Consultant to both support and drive continued growth in our Asset Management Advisory practice. You will join an established team that is a leader in providing management consulting, finance, and business improvement services across the country and beyond.

We are looking for self-starters who can contribute to our success in the Asset Management service area which focuses on working with clients to develop their capabilities including process analysis, business transformation and process improvement, data and information analytics, providing guidance on management technology as well as asset technologies, and supporting development of asset strategies and plans.
