Requirements

Greenbacker is poised for significant growth and is therefore seeking resources to aid in our continued development. Our firm is searching for an Internal Sales Representative with experience in the financial services sector, ideally in an alternative investment environment, to perform all internal sales activities necessary to enable Greenbacker’s capital raising efforts to grow and function optimally. This role will be a registered representative through our Managing Broker Dealer partner. The Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for the execution of all sales support, service, and marketing related activities associated with Greenbacker Capital Management LLC. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining existing relationships with financial advisors, procuring prospective relationships with financial advisors, and otherwise supporting the efforts of the External Sales Representatives and their associated sales and marketing activities. The best candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that can perform well in a fast-paced environment. The selected individual will need to work as part of a team and, at times, independently to support all aspects of Greenbacker Capital’s sales efforts. The role will report to Greenbacker’s sales management and would ideally reside in New York, NY. Extraordinary candidates may be considered in other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales strategy consistent with the Company’s sales goals.

  • Actively work with the team to increase productivity and efficiency.

  • Maintain existing and prospective Advisor relationships

  • Servicing inbound due diligence requests.

  • Providing regular product performance updates.

  • Fielding operational and service-related requests.

  • Identify and actively aid in converting prospects into producers.

  • Convey deep technical knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies and fund vehicles.

  • Work with External Representatives to schedule and optimize sales activities.

  • Utilize and maintain Greenbacker Capital’s CRM system to create and maintain up-to-date information on target audience.

For NYC based employees, the annual salary range is from $75,000 - $90,000 per year.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field.

  • 1 year + of experience in the financial services industry.

  • Must have the ability to work in a challenging and collaborative environment.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail.

  • Ability to represent the firm professionally with internal and external contacts.

  • Skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

  • Securities licensed required (Series 7 & 63, etc.)

  • Knowledge of or experience in environmental studies or sustainable investing is a plus
