Position overview: Fixed Income Sales Director

We are seeking an experienced and outstanding professional with a minimum of ten to fifteen years of financial markets, banking or buy-side experience to join our New York based Global Markets Advisory team working with institutional investors where geopolitics, country risk, and financial markets intersect. This role will be based in NYC and will be specifically focused on building market share and growing our North America client base by delivering first-class service and solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities :  

  • Work with Global Markets leadership team to acquire new clients and achieve revenue growth amongst existing clients across different initiatives in North America.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Eurasia Group’s business and become an expert in how political risks fit into client investment and risk process.  

  • Leverage Eurasia Group's global resources in-country, sectoral research, market strategy & geo-economics to create value-add coverage and develop solutions-based engagements with investment professionals.

  • Maintain knowledge of market developments (on a multi-region basis), asset classes and political risks to engage with and provide value to sophisticated institutional investors.

  • Maintain an in-depth 360-degree knowledge of clients & prospects at both a key person and firm level, generate significant client interactions between the client and the research team / product and lead successful cross-sale and upsells solutions-based initiatives.

Desired skills:

  • Must be a self-starter and proactive yet work collaboratively within the team around both strategic and tactical initiatives. You will track multiple projects, clients at once so an ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential. This role requires a high level of flexibility and attention to detail.

  • You will have excellent presentation (oral and written) skills and an analytical bent. You should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and exhibit high energy both internally and in client interactions.

  • Experience in the ESG & Sustainability space is desired and relevant

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. You should be able to discuss financial market concepts and market conditions with clients and have a working knowledge of various investment strategies and disciplines, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.

  • Applicants should have an interest in international affairs and political risk and understand Eurasia Group’s core competencies.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Background in emerging markets, FX, and fixed income markets as well other asset classes relevant.  

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

The salary range for the role is $150,000-170,000

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
