Fellowship program provides robust learning experiences related to the science and application of health economics and outcomes research:
This program, in partnership with Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, part of Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Real World Value & Evidence (RWV&E) group, offers a significant opportunity to individuals interested in health economics, cost and services utilization analysis, and patient-reported outcomes research.
The Fellow will be employed for up to two years by Rutgers University and will work onsite with researchers at Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC RWV&E offices located in Titusville, NJ. Examples of the postdoctoral associate's activities include:-Contributing to trial design planning to incorporate patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and health economic measures through conducting evidence-based literature reviews and PRO questionnaire evaluation. -

-Conducting burden of illness evaluations to better characterize patient and population unmet needs through database analysis and literature reviews. Developing health economic models to characterize and communicate the budget impact and cost-effectiveness of new or existing therapeutics.
-Conducting comparative effectiveness research using Real World Data.
-Participating in cross-functional teams in an effort to gain a better understanding of how real world evidence can be used in the decision-making process associated with the development and commercialization of new pharmaceutical products.
The position is for two years, contingent upon continuing need for this position, availability of funding, and a positive evaluation. This position is grant funded.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a PhD or other relevant doctoral or scientific and/or training (examples of relevant fields include health services research, public health, health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, pharmacy, pharmacy administration, medicine).

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
