    LCAT: Journeyman Digital Signal Processing Engineer

    Overview: S4 Inc. employees selected for this position will be supporting USSTRATCOM JEMSOC missions in order to provide the JEMSOC Director with Planning, Analysis, Spectrum Management and Intelligence support. In addition, S4 employees will support Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for JCER to accomplish Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) readiness evaluations in order to accredit each Service/United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).

    Specific Duties: In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, enhancing, installing, supporting, and maintaining the applications and services for customers in a manner that enhances or expands the customer mission collection and exploitation capability

  • Developing mission-oriented signal processing algorithms, applications, and associated services for customers

    Qualifications:

  • Current/active Top Secret+ security clearance

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Five (5) + years of relevant experience

  • Experience with design, development, and deployment of signal processing applications such as the X-Midas framework

  • Specialize in cutting-edge signal processing technologies, system and software design, life-cycle support, signal analysis, communications and software development

  • Strong academic background in engineering/science with hands-on programming skills, digital signal processing experience

  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large Digital Signal Processing software systems

  • Ability to communicate requirements, technical abilities and analytical/measured results across the engineering disciplines and with internal stakeholders

  • Working knowledge or experience with C/C++, scientific programming, Python, MATLAB, shell scripting, Linux, or CUDA/Open CL

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing, X-Midas, Linux, Machine Learning (ML) preferred
