Job Description:

At Regions, the Technology Architecture Governance and Process Analyst focuses on the creation and consistent evaluation of processes for reviewing, onboarding, and maintaining technology capabilities. This position supports and facilitates the tracking and reporting on key technology decisions that impact Regions’ risk posture and information technology cost, managing “technical debt” at levels within Regions’ risk appetite. Additionally, this position facilitates the governance practices implemented across various portfolios and teams performing information technology activities through the creation of standards, procedures, and associated tools/templates. The position at this level may manage and/or lead significant projects or programs, including reviewing work from junior analysts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management in leading Regions’ overall architecture governance practice

  • Participates on a team of associates responsible for creating and implementing architecture related artifacts and processes

  • Implements processes and reporting mechanisms for the end-to-end Technology Delivery Lifecycle (TDLC)

  • Facilitates Technology decision and review forums across technology teams for key items impacting the Regions’ technology ecosystem (e.g., new technology, changes to policies and standards, new non-functional requirements)

  • Supports the team manager who serves as the central point of contact for Information Technology (IT) when collaborating with Agile Center of Excellence, Project Management, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Procurement, Risk Management, Finance, and other key partners related to management of technology assets

  • Creates and maintains processes and tools related to capture of technology debt and related impacts

  • Supports and helps implement Application Portfolio Management standards for the enterprise

  • Ensures IT related policies and standards can be effectively utilized by associates to stay within compliance (e.g. influence the rollout of new technology requirements on existing technology assets)

  • Reviews new requests and changes to existing engagements that include a change in technology capabilities

  • Partners with the Enterprise Architecture function (including Security and Cloud Architecture) to drive adherence to key technology and procedures

  • Supports adherence to technology contract management requirements

  • Collaborates with senior management in evaluating team and establishing training processes when necessary

  • Offers advice and guidance to junior analysts

  • Assists management in monitoring trends and changes in the industry and recommending changes when necessary

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis, or related field

  • Seven (7) years of experience in Information Technology, specifically in enterprise architecture and/or technology process management

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and related processes within medium to large sized organization

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to directly and indirectly influence and collaborate with various Technology and non-Technology stakeholders to continuously improve the Technology Delivery Lifecycle (TDLC)

  • Basic understanding of Application Portfolio Management (APM)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Strong understanding and management of Software Development Lifecycle and related processes

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

  • Understanding of an Information Technology organization’s TDLC processes and evolution of them with the introduction of new practices and capabilities (e.g. Cloud, Agile, Security)

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC . Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
