This is a General Application for those seeking employment with FANUC America Corporation and are interested in a CNC - Associate Mechatronic Field Engineer position across the United States.Â
The CNC - Associate Mechatronic Field Engineer will provide support to customers within their respective regions providing on-site repair, troubleshooting and /or maintenance services for CNCâs and related system peripheral equipment.
As an incoming Associate Engineer, you will learn our products, services, and what makes our customer service #1. Comprehensive on-the-job training and support, as well as 3 weeks of classroom training in our Hoffman Estates, IL office is provided.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Traveling to customer sites, with some overnight travel (overnight travel varies based on location) performing troubleshooting and repair of CNCs, control motors and drives, industrial lasers and precision machines.
Providing hands-on technical assistance and customer support.
Daily reporting to the Service Center Manager to update status and availability.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associates Technology or Mechatronics degree, or equivalent experience in a related field; bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years in a technical customer focused/field service position
Ability to obtain a valid driver license
Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Excellent computer skills
Travel by auto and/or air for at least 5 hours at a time;Â air travel required as needed
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to do repair work in various industrial environments
Familiarity with CNC or PLC preferred
