What will I do?

• Responsibility for all financial transactions and related administration. This includes but is not limited to asset protection, accounting, systems management, budgeting and forecasting, managing the department, maintaining and optimizing overall business management standards and ensuring efficient operations
• Ensuring that all generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP, SOX) are adhered to
• Central point of contact for external audits and management of internal audits
• Monitor and approve all hotel sales, purchases, salaries and expenses
• Advising the General Manager on all financial matters
• Assist and advise department heads in the interpretation and analysis of financial data and recommend courses of action to maximize hotel profitability
• Preparation of annual profit and capital plans, forecasts and budgets
• Responsible for training and development of team members as well as conducting annual reviews, disciplinary meetings and employee motivation measures
• Conducting interviews and recruiting new team members

What do you bring to the table?

• Sound experience in finance/accounting and experience in financial management
• Strong understanding of numbers and business thinking
• A very good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
• Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Very good analytical skills
• Fluency in German and English
• In this position it would be an advantage if you have the following skills:

Experience with USALI, Navision, Birchstreet, Hyperion, Peoplesoft system and Excel

Experience in dealing with SOX guidelines

Experience in dealing with trade law
