Description This thriving Automotive company is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to grow with them. If you're looking for work, this dynamic organization is filling an Accounts Receivable position with a noteworthy benefits package through Robert Half. This permanent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk is in the Mooresville, North Carolina area. The ideal candidate for this position can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

Your responsibilities

• Verify the correctness of documents and codes

• Supply shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders with information as requested

• Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization

• Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks

• Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required

• Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including handling payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP

• Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers Requirements - Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Credit analysis experience preferred

• Deep understanding of Collections

• AS400 experience highly desired

• Bank reconciliations experience preferred

• Proficient in ERP systems

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
