Position: PT Post-Event CustodianDepartment: CustodialReports to: Manager, CustodialFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptUnion Classification: Teamsters Local #638Pay Rate: $18.72/hrJob SummaryThe primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a positive impression of Target Center by cleaning and maintaining the facility and assisting guests as appropriate. This position is expected to work cohesively with all employees of Target Center to maintain a superior level of guest service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRespond to emergency janitorial issues in a timely manner during and after events. Calls should be acknowledged and closed in a timely manner.Follow procedures and cleaning routines as assigned for: sweeping & mopping; emptying trash cans and replacing liners; wiping down areas; cleaning up spills and fluids; cleaning glass, windows, the restrooms and showers, and upholstery; restocking supplies, and reporting damages.Other custodial duties as assigned by management.Required QualificationsAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.General knowledge of cleaning practices and cleaning chemicals.Demonstrated strong customer service skills.Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure.Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines & deadlines set by Supervisors and Event Manager.Ability to work days, nights, weekend, and holiday.Experience operating walk behind, scrubbers, and carpet extractors is preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding. (i.e., kneeling, bending, stooping, sweeping, moping, walking stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching, carry trash, garbage, and buckets).Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, etc.Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to heights, elevators, in darkened arena, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.ASM Global is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer, and encourages women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans to apply.
