As an Enterprise Risk Business Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in managing the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank’s Risk Framework requirements. You will ensure the development and maintenance of enterprise risk procedures and plans.

Additionally, you will assist administrators with the implementation of enterprise risk and business continuity projects, trainings, and exercises in Minneapolis and Helena and as requested throughout the Federal Reserve System (FRS). You will develop and maintain relationships within the 9th District and act as a subject matter expert on enterprise risk to those contacts.

This position will report to the Director of Operations and Support- Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week for meetings and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal departments; FRS banks that have employees sitting in 9th district space affected by Risk Framework requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience of risk management programs, measurement tools, models, control frameworks, and risk indicators used to make decisions.

  • Aggregate the risk and resilience profiles for the organization related to multiple areas and makes recommendations to senior leaders regarding risk mitigation.

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop effective risk processes and procedures that meet requirements, standards, and frameworks and follow policy and/or risk procedures.

  • Provide collaborative or consultative work of varying complexity in areas of business risk management and resilience for business lines.

  • Develop and deliver risk and business continuity exercises and training to employees.

  • Perform or assist with after action reviews and corrective actions for audit compliance; gather system-wide exercise and training data for system records.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert with regards to risk management and cross functionally with business continuity and life-safety preparedness plans, platforms, and equipment.

  • Determine best practices and suggest how to improve current practices.

  • Good understanding of organizational structures and priorities in a large, geographically de-centralized organization.

  • Acute attention to detail with a high level of data integrity and accuracy.

  • Develop and evaluate enterprise-wide risk, resilience, and compliance, including but not limited to crisis management, data and records management, and information security methodologies, vendor management practices and other organizational processes, and procedures.

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide training and awareness programs; updates and maintains plans, risk assessments, processes, and procedures.

  • Monitor environment for new or potential risks and evaluates implications of risks and/or changes in business lines, services, regulations, policies, or practices contributes expertise in risk and continuity operations to business line planning and exercises.

  • Participate in cross-functional and FRS System team initiatives and process improvement projects.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Enterprise Risk Business Analyst Level II:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field AND three (3) years of experience in risk. OR MA degree AND two (2) years of experience in a risk position.

To be considered for the Enterprise Risk Business Analyst Level III:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field AND five (5) years of full-time experience in risk. OR MA degree in a relevant field AND three (3) years of experience in a risk po

Applicable at both levels:

  • Project management and budgeting.

  • Strong organizational skills, experience managing projects/programs.

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Able to function effectively in stressful situations.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong computer/technology skills including advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and Word, experience with webpage editing software.

  • Ability and willingness to travel if needed to Helena branch as a part of the position to ensure consistency, system integration, and excellent customer service.

In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following are desired but not required:

  • Certified Risk Manager

  • Business Continuity practitioner

  • Previous trainer/classroom instructor/public speaking experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of risk management programs, measurement tools, models, control frameworks, and risk indicators used to make decisions.

  • Strong organizational skills, experience managing projects/programs.

  • Good understanding of organizational structures and priorities in a large, geographically de-centralized organization.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: Enterprise Risk Business Analyst Level II: ($64,100-$80,159-$96,200) Enterprise Risk Business Analyst Level III: ($78,300- $97,830-$117,400)
