Allana Buick & Bers Junior Fire Sprinkler Designer in Mesa, Arizona
Contractor Fire Protection is seeking key personnel to help us expand our thriving AZ Fire Protection operation. We are a growing, strong, full-service fire protection company, offering substantial room for growth, and upward mobility. This challenging position will require full involvement with fire sprinkler design; coordination, and possibly project manage the fire sprinkler systems installation for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Education and Experience
Preferred 2+ years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design (on job or in-school)
Ability to operate independently and autonomously
Demonstrate a corresponding high sense of integrity
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong computer skills
Associates/Bachelors/Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering OR an equivalent combination of HS education and related work experience preferred
High level of self-discipline, motivation, and ability to operate in a team environment
Responsibilities
Design automatic fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, foam, and fire pumps)
Compile and prepare plan submittals (shop drawings) and material submittals for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction
Coordinate sprinkler design with existing structure and other MEP subcontractors
Communicate with Sales, Estimating and other departments to optimize design efficiency for fabrication and installation of systems
Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems
Detail the design for fabrication and prepare installation drawings
Prepare 'as-built' drawings for in-house archive and client files
Other job duties as assigned
