Job Description

A primary care facility is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team to support front and back office duties. A physician at this facility sees an average of 12 patients a day, and will lean on the CMA to help take blood samples, run them in the lab, and send them to the courier.

Responsibilities include:

 Meeting and greeting patients.

 Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.

 Processing patient payments.

 Entering charges, payments, and balancing the day in the computer.

 Accurately completing and documenting patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

 Recording vital signs, performing EKG, spirometry and or other similar non-complex office procedures.

 Aiding the physician during treatment, examination, and or testing of patients - may include injections and immunizations.

 Coordinating phone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician instructions

Skills and Requirements

1-2 years of CMA Experience

Medical Assistaint Certification

High School Diploma or GED

Recent Phlebotomy experience (within the last year)

BLS Certification null
