Here, you will make an impact by:Being a member of an Electronics & Materials Solutions Division (EMSD) Chemical Mechanical Planarizations (CMP) global, cross functional team that will develop product concepts and commercialize new products aligned with semiconductor customer needs from around the world.Developing a strong understanding of our customer/market needs in semiconductor and CMP fields, and leveraging 3Ms innovation to develop differentiated products.Collaborating with research teams from Corporate Research and Business Labs to convert new technologies into new product capabilities to meet the evolving needs to CMP customers.Leading and supporting cross functional product development and modification projects (NPIs) leveraging 3Ms technologies and manufacturing capabilities and quality system will enable accelerated business growth and further our competitive position in the marketplace.Creating and protecting 3M intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications and trade secrets.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Three (3) years of experience in product and technology development, process engineering, and/or research laboratory in a private, public, government, or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Advanced degree or higher from an accredited institution in science and engineering disciplinesDemonstrated track record of leading product commercialization with cross-functional teams, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics field.Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading project teams.Strong communication skills, proven ability to develop and maintain productive networks within the 3M global technical and business communities with demonstrated ability to influence and drive for a successful outcome.Work location:Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
