Franklin Pierce University's College of Health and Natural Sciences, located in Manchester, NH is accepting applications for (2) qualified faculty members to join our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program faculty.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of the DPT Program, the Physical Therapy Faculty will play a key role in shaping the next generation of physical therapists. This full-time, 12-month faculty position involves curriculum development, delivery, and assessment, as well as student advisement, leadership in service to the university and profession, community outreach, and scholarly engagement. Additionally, there may be opportunities to serve as a lab instructor or teach modules within courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum for DPT students.

  • Advise and mentor students.

  • Provide leadership in university and professional service.

  • Engage in community outreach efforts.

  • Contribute to scholarly activities.

  • Potentially serve as a lab instructor or teach course modules.

    Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in physical therapy management of patients with complex medical conditions.

  • Experience in inpatient care management across the continuum of care.

  • Additional expertise in areas such as cardiopulmonary or geriatrics is desirable.

  • Physical Therapy licensure in New Hampshire or eligibility (license obtained within 90 days of employment).

  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience.

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.Sc.) and certification in an area of specialization (e.g., G.C.S., C.C.S., N.C.S.).

  • Ability to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.

  • Willingness to travel for university-related purposes, if required.
