JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Pulmonary - 23566 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : This is a part-time, 60% FTE day/evening shift. Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm, 3 shifts per week. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. This position may be eligible for a \$1,800 sign-on bonus. (pro-rated based on FTE) We\'re seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join our fast-paced Pulmonary Clinic. * The Pulmonary Clinic offers a broad array of diagnostic and management skills in treating adult patients with advanced pulmonary diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer and asthma. * Provide a remarkable patient experience, as you may be one of the first people a patient interacts with at their appointment. * Responsible for important preparation work like taking vitals, noting patients\' needs and concerns, and assisting with clinic procedures and exams. * Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
